NEWS FOR OUR TENANTS: Tenant Satisfaction Survey

As part of People First’s ongoing commitment to seek the views of our Tenants, we have asked a professional and independent customer research consultancy, TLF Research, to carry out a survey for us.

They will be calling Tenants over the next 6 weeks in June and July to ask for your feedback.

The purpose of the survey is to find out about our Tenant’s satisfaction with the services we provide and to identify areas for service improvements.

PFHA will provide details to all tenants about the outcome of the survey later in the year and let you know the actions we will be taking in response to your feedback.

At People First Housing Association we have 275 properties, all of which are located in the Hulme area of Manchester.

People First is one of eighteen registered landlords in Manchester who advertise and let our properties through Manchester Move.

In order to gain a tenancy with People First you would first need to register with Manchester Move.

You can do this by clicking here

The Manchester Move website advertises ready-to-rent homes for around 18 not-for-profit landlords. You bid for them, the landlord decides who gets them based on their allocations policy.

If you would like assistance registering with Manchester Move you can call us on 0161 235 6900 to book an appointment with our advice service.

Right to Aquire

With increases in rent, many people cannot afford to get onto the property ladder.

The Right to Acquire scheme enables housing association tenants to buy the property they live in, but are you eligible?

Gas safety checks

People First Housing Association have a legal duty to check all gas appliances within each property annually.

We will write to each tenant at least 28 days before your check is due. It is important the check is carried out on time.

Once we write to you can either ring the contactor on 0161 652 3838 to book an appointment or you can contact our office on 0161 235 6900 and we will arrange an appointment for you.

The engineer will check the safety of all pipework, appliances and flues. If there is a simple problem, the engineer may fix this on the spot.

Alternatively, the details of more complex issues will be included as repair and maintenance recommendations in the safety report. We will then arrange a separate appointment for these issues to be addressed.

Once the annual check has been carried out, the gas engineer will fill in the Gas Safety Certificate, a standardised document confirming that all relevant safety checks have been carried out and the rental property meets all legal requirements.
